Malachi starting working with shelter dogs in 2014 as a volunteer for the Humane Society in Upstate New York. Malachi’s interest in psychology and experience with shelter dogs has made him quite comfortable with any dog regardless of their history. During that time his own dog, Max, needed ongoing massage to recover from surgery.
Malachi felt the best way to care for Max was to learn the treatments himself. Through watching the progress his own dogs have made in all areas of life through consistent massage, Malachi was inspired to share his experience with others, completing his studies of massage at Northwest School of Animal Massage in Washington, earning his certificate and becoming licensed this year.
In his free time Malachi enjoys training with his dogs, who are both accomplished truffle hunters and also enjoy barn hunt and agility. He also volunteers as a firefighter in Snohomish county.
