Since 2005, SplashDog has helped dogs move more comfortably, recover safely, and enjoy a better quality of life through personalized therapy and compassionate care. Our licensed practitioners focus on understanding each dog as an individual and supporting their health, confidence, and well-being.
Many Veterinarians refer SplashDog and its therapists because of the therapeutic benefits and the care given to patients.
SplashDog’s focus is always on the well-being of the individual dog. We strive to understand exactly what is going on with the individual, what issues they are dealing with, what their specific health issues are, their temperament, emotional state, and their quality of life so that we can customize their sessions to help them reach their highest potential.
The size is 8’ x 20’ x 4’ deep. The pool has two jet settings that add resistance to the swim.
We maintain the water daily with chlorine, super shocking it after the work day so all detrimental organisms are killed and removed before the next day’s appointments start. The chlorine content at the beginning of the day is very low and therefore easy on the skin, yet clean and sanitary.
The pool is filtered with a large sand filter that is maintained continually. We strive constantly to have the cleanest water that is safe and non-irritating for any animal in the water.
We find that warm water helps with the process of warming the soft tissue and joint fluids and increases circulation, allowing the dog to begin to physically relax and the therapy to work on a deeper level quicker than being in cool water.
We round out our Well-Being Center with periodic classes and lectures by trained professionals covering a wide range of topics. Various Professional Dog Trainers utilize SplashDog’s facility for training classes. See the “What is New and Upcoming ” section of our website or check our Facebook page Events.

Katy has worked at SplashDog as a therapist since 2018, and became a part owner in 2021.
Katy has been working with animals, and dogs especially, for over twenty-five years in varying capacities. She started her pet sitting and dog walking business in 1997, which she did for many years.
During this time, she had two aging dogs who benefited greatly from massage and hydrotherapy at different times. Once she decided to get her small animal massage license, hydrotherapy was a perfect fit for her as a former competitive swimmer who has always loved playing in the water.
Katy and her husband have three dogs and seven ducks, all of whom love swimming! Their two human children are off living their own adventures.
After she recovered, she realized how much body work had been a part of her own recovery, and decided to learn how to bring these healing modalities to the animals she loves.
Katy and her husband have two boys, ages 16 and 14, who keep them very busy!
